Product Description

Wise Owl’s Bacopa Monnieri is a key product to complement our herbal range.

There are restrictions on what can be said about herbs, but Bacopa Monnieri, also known as water hyssop, waterhyssop, brahmi, thyme-leafed gratiola, herb of grace, and Indian pennywort, has been used for centuries by many cultures.

Bacopa monnieri is a semi-aquatic perennial plant which is native to Australia and India, it is a green, leafy creeping plant with pretty, white flowers. The plant is commonly found in warm and wet climates.

The herb has been used for centuries with the whole plant being used to make medicinal mixtures. In ancient India, bacopa monnieri was a big feature in Ayurvedic medicine, used for treating brain health concerns. Ayurveda is one of the oldest medical systems in the world and remains part of India’s health system today.

Today, stems and leaves from the plant are dried and refined to make powered supplements.
